Course overview

The Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) builds detailed knowledge of accounting theory, regulation and professional practice while allowing you to broaden your study through postgraduate business electives.

The 120-credit-point accounting core covers financial and management accounting, audit, taxation, commercial and company law, economics, corporate finance, accounting information systems and professional engagement. You will then complete 40 credit points of postgraduate Business subjects approved by the Academic Program Advisor.

Applied individual and team activities develop your ability to interpret accounting information and address realistic organisational problems. The course is designed to satisfy the academic requirements associated with major professional accounting bodies, with further professional requirements applying after graduation.

Completed over two years full-time or four years part-time, the course is available at Parramatta City and Sydney City. Graduates may pursue accounting, audit, taxation, finance and business advisory roles across private, public and not-for-profit organisations.
