- Duration: 24 months
- Course Type: Master's
Strengthen your expertise across corporate finance, financial markets, investment analysis and portfolio management, with a study pathway based on your qualifications and professional experience.
Course overview
The Master of Applied Finance combines contemporary finance theory with practical techniques for working in complex financial environments. You will examine corporate finance, financial institutions and markets, funds management, portfolio selection, security analysis and an applied finance and property project.
Your admission pathway determines the program’s breadth and duration. The 80-credit-point pathway focuses on advanced finance study, while the 120- and 160-credit-point pathways add foundations in economics, business statistics, financial information for decision-making and new venture finance. In the 80- and 120-credit-point pathways, you select two subjects from derivatives, credit and lending decisions, financial modelling and international finance.
The 160-credit-point pathway completes all four of these finance subjects, then offers a choice between property investment study and a two-subject industry internship sequence. Study at Parramatta City for one year, 1.5 years or two years full-time, depending on your admission pathway. Graduates may pursue or advance work across finance, banking, funds management, property investment and corporate treasury.
