Course overview

The Master of Business Administration at Victoria University provides advanced postgraduate study in leadership, strategy and contemporary business management. You will strengthen your ability to analyse complex business challenges, make evidence-based decisions and lead across changing organisational environments.

Across 12 units, you will study strategic management, business ethics and sustainability, marketing, financial analysis, business analytics, human resource management, innovation, organisational change and leadership. The course concludes with a Business Consulting capstone, where you apply knowledge from across the MBA to a practical business challenge.

Delivered 100% online through VU Online, the MBA can be completed in a minimum of two years part-time. You study one unit at a time over seven-week study periods, with six study periods available each year.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have one of the following requirements:

  • Completion of an Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a similar discipline.
  • Completion of an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a similar discipline.
  • Completion of an Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline and five years of managerial experience.
  • Applicants without an undergraduate qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in the same discipline based on a minimum of five years of approved work experience. Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate, graduates will be eligible for admission to this course with credit granted for completed units.
