Course overview
Victoria University’s Master of Business Administration (Global) develops advanced business and management capabilities for working across international and culturally diverse environments. You will study areas including economics, financial analysis, marketing, leadership, strategy, innovation and business ethics.
The course combines core business study with a global specialisation, allowing you to select units in areas such as international supply chains, global procurement, global marketing, trade and international business practices. You will also develop communication, teamwork, critical thinking and leadership skills for complex organisational environments.
Practical components include an internship and a Business Consulting capstone unit. Through the consulting project, you will apply your knowledge to a real-world business problem and develop recommendations for a client.
The course comprises 192 credit points and is normally completed over two years of full-time study. Students with eligible previous study in a similar discipline may receive up to 48 credit points of advanced standing, potentially reducing the duration of the course.

What you will study
To attain the Master of Business Administration (Global), students will be required to complete 192 credit points consisting of:
- 48 credit points of college core units.
- 84 credit points of professional core units.
- 12 credit points in the Business Consulting (Capstone) unit.
- 48 credit points of global specialisation units (from the approved list).
Each unit is worth 12 credit points.

To be considered for postgraduate study, you will need to meet the academic requirements outlined below.
Admission criteria
Applicants must have one of the following:
- Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree, or equivalent, in any discipline.
- Completion of an Australian Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, in a similar discipline.
Applicants without an undergraduate qualification may be eligible to enter through an approved Graduate Diploma pathway based on relevant work experience. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students may be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration (Global), with credit granted for completed units.
