This program examines the organisation of work, management of employees, role of unions, development of cooperation and negotiation, and ways in which conflict can emerge and be managed. In particular, the course focuses on developing critical problem-solving tools to develop innovative and realistic solutions to real-world problems.

Entry requirements

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have:

  • Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA.
  • Equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent.
  • At least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation.

Completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources and Employment Relations or Graduate Certificate in Commerce at UWA.

English competency

English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place.

  • Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
