What you will study

Students must complete 16 units (eight courses) comprising:

  • Four to eight units from GDipBRM Flexible Core Courses
  • At least four units from GDipBRM Research Courses
  • Four to eight units from GDipBRM Elective Options

Each course is valued at two units, unless otherwise indicated.

GDipBRM Flexible Core Courses

Complete four to eight units from the following:

  • Research Project (four units)
  • (RBUS7995) Research Thesis OR (RBUS7996) Research Thesis (eight units)
GDipBRM Research Courses
GDipBRM Elective Options

Exit awards

If you withdraw from this program after completing eight units from the GDipBRM course list, you may apply to be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Business Research Methods.

Entry requirements

Academic requirements

To be eligible for entry, you'll need one of the following:

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.
  • The Graduate Certificate in Business Research Methods from UQ.

You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.75 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.

English language requirements

For international students, you must demonstrate that you meet one of the following English proficiency requirements:

  • IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ.
  • TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
  • PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
  • BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
  • CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.

OET is not accepted.
