What you will study
Students must complete eight units (four courses) comprising:
- Six to eight units from GCBA Flexible Core Courses
- Zero to two units from GCBA Program Elective Courses
Each course is valued at two units.
GCBA Flexible Core Courses
Complete six to eight units from the following:
- Accounting and Business Analysis
- Financial Management
- Resonant Leadership
- Strategy: From Design to Practice
- Leading People and Teams
GCBA Program Elective Courses
Complete zero to two units from the following:
- Impact Academy 1: Discovering New Solutions for Complex Problems
- Qualitative Business Research Methods II
- Quantitative Business Research Methods I
- Qualitative Business Research Methods I
Entry requirement
Academic requirements
To be eligible for entry, you'll need one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, plus four years of full-time equivalent work experience, including two years in a dedicated supervisory/management role.
- Seven years of full-time equivalent work experience, including three years in a dedicated supervisory/management role.
You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. Applications on the basis of work experience will be individually assessed. International applicants must have completed the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550.
English language requirements
For international students, you must demonstrate that you meet one of the following English proficiency requirements:
- IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ.
- TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
- PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
- BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
- CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.
OET is not accepted.
