Course overview
Presence is critical for anyone who needs to engage an audience of any size, from small meetings to large presentations. It enables you to communicate confidently, engage authentically and influence your audience, taking them on the journey. It allows you to have an audience in the palm of your hand, changing how they think, feel and behave.
In completing this course you will achieve two points toward a total of twelve required to obtain AGSM's Certificate in Executive Management and Development (CEMD).

What you will learn

Who You Will Learn From

Peter Fisher
Facilitator
Peter’s former career was as an actor, which spanned nearly 20 years, with extensive experience in theatre, film and television
In 1992 he entered the world of corporate communication consultancies. In 1995, he became aware of the need for a more imaginative and vigorous approach to corporate training and leadership development and started his own consultancy.
Through working with multiple clients, he has adapted the methodologies of an actor’s training, to design experiential learning programs with a strong focus on developing presence, personal impact, influence, emotional intelligence in leadership and team development within corporations.
For the past 23 years, Peter has been a strong contributor to raising the presence and influence skills of Australia’s corporate community, using “theatre based learning” as the core to his unique training.
Peter has developed a solid corporate client base, contributing to a large number of senior executive leadership programs for a large number of clients across Australia and overseas. These include Telstra, NAB, CBA, Westpac, AMP,UBS, AIG, IT Skills Hub, Lend Lease, GPT, The Executive Connection, CSIRO, Australian Institute of Police Management, The Leadership Consortium, NSW PSC, Service NSW, NSW Dept of Industry, Transgrid, Vic Roads.
Peter has been an adjunct faculty member of the Australian Graduate School of Management for the past 20 years, responsible for the design and delivery of many successful experiential learning programs for the AGSM Executive Open Program menu as well as customised Client Programs, where he has impacted many hundreds of leaders across all industries and levels.
AGSM Executive Education Open Programs he has designed and currently facilitates are “The Corporate Communicator: Activating Presence”, “Leading through Influence” and “Leading From Within”.
In 2011 he won the Australian School of Business Award for outstanding adjunct faculty program delivery.

Jo O'Reilly
Faculty
Jo O’Reilly has a Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Social Studies from the University of Sydney, and also studied for a diploma of Operatic Art at the NSW Conservatorium of Music. She has substantial global experience in delivering workshops and individual sessions in communication and presentation skills with people in business at all levels. She is a champion improviser and comedy performer, having performed to critical acclaim in New York, London’s West End and international comedy festivals, and is acknowledged as one of Australia’s leading improvisation trainers. Jo’s specialty is designing experiential programs where people in business learn relevant performance skills to enhance their impact in business. Past clients include ING, Heineken, ANZ, Toshiba, UNSW, Multiplex, Novartis, and the Australian Bar Association. Josephine also teaches with AGSM Executive Education (winner of the Outstanding Facilitator award), the corporate program at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and is a consultant with High Performance Coaching.
