The Master of Project Management provides students with the knowledge, skills, and tools to successfully deliver new products and services, perform change and transformation, and – in general – to help project teams get things done. With a strong emphasis on extending skills and knowledge with work experience, this program will prepare graduates to apply their high-level understanding to real-world problems within any industry.

Entry requirements

Academic requirements

To gain entry into a Master of Project Management, an applicant must meet one of the following entry requirements:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree with honours in the same or a related discipline* from a recognised institution.
  • Completion of a graduate diploma or graduate certificate in the same or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in the same or a related discipline from a recognised institution; and completion of at least three years of relevant full-time professional experience.
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in a non-related discipline; and completion of at least four years of relevant full-time professional experience.
  • Evidence of other qualifications and professional experience to be assessed as acceptable grounds for admission into the program by the relevant Program Authority. In certain circumstances, students may be required to undertake and successfully complete a relevant non-award course as a condition for admission into the program. This non-award course may also be credited towards the program upon admission.

  • Develop major project plans and artefacts addressing the knowledge areas of the project management body of knowledge.
  • Assess the role and contribution of project management in business and engineering contexts.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop appropriate activities and processes to achieve business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop the major plans and artefacts for a complex project.

Fees and FEE-HELP

Indicative first-year full fee in 2025: $40,000 (domestic full-fee paying place)

Indicative fees are a guide only and have been calculated based on the typical enrolment patterns of students undertaking the program. The amount you pay will vary depending on the calendar year of enrolment, the courses you select and whether your study load is more or less than one Equivalent Full Time Student Load (48 units of credit per year).

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • The number of units studied per term.
  • The choice of major or specialisation.
  • Choice of units.
  • Credit from previous study or work experience.
  • Eligibility for government-funded loans.
