Entry requirements

Academic requirements

The degree’s admission requirements are based on you having a recognised undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) with a credit average (WAM 65 per cent or higher), as determined by the UNSW Business School. You may be considered eligible if your undergraduate degree WAM is between 60-64 per cent and your score for the GMAT is at least 600 for the GMAT Exam or at least 565 for the GMAT Focus Edition.

English language requirements

You may be asked to provide evidence of your English proficiency to study at UNSW depending on your educational background and citizenship. English language skills are vitally important for coping with lectures, tutorials, assignments and examinations.

If you’re completing an Australian Year 12 qualification (e.g. NSW HSC or equivalent), you do not need to provide anything extra to prove your proficiency. Your qualification will be used as evidence of your English proficiency.

If you do need to provide evidence of your English proficiency, this will be indicated in your application. You can prove this by providing evidence that you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • English language tests and university English courses.
  • Prior study in the medium of English.
  • Other qualifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you’ve studied an undergraduate degree that relates to the areas of business you’d like to study, you could be eligible for up to 24 UOC, or four courses of RPL. These credit points will allow you to take fewer subjects and graduate sooner. Contact the university for more details.
