Master of Commerce

  • Delivery: Face to Face
  • Study Level: Postgraduate
  • Duration: 20 months
  • Course Type: Master's

Shape your business expertise around one or two specialist fields while developing the analytical, strategic and commercial capabilities to solve complex problems and make informed decisions across contemporary organisations.

Course overview

Combining specialist depth with broad commercial capability, UNSW's Master of Commerce allows graduates to shape their postgraduate study around one or two areas of business expertise. The program develops the strategic, analytical and professional capabilities needed to navigate complex business challenges while building knowledge aligned with individual career directions.

Through a combination of evidence-based analysis, specialist study and broader business perspectives, you'll learn to evaluate complex organisational issues and develop informed, responsible responses. You'll strengthen your ability to interpret business data, apply specialist knowledge to strategic decisions and connect insights across different functions, bringing these capabilities together through practical capstone or practicum learning.

Studied through face-to-face and blended learning at UNSW's Kensington campus, the program offers a choice of 15 specialisations spanning established and emerging areas of business. Industry-connected learning and professional recognition pathways linked to selected specialisations further connect the degree with contemporary business practice.

"My studies were practical, flexible and deeply relevant. Being able to choose real-world companies and organisations to base assessments on meant I could absorb the learning while considering real-world application."

Jennifer Moses, Sustainability & Social Impact Consultant | Master of Commerce (Sustainability and Social Impact)
