Course overview
Connecting technical analytics with strategic business thinking, UNSW's Master of Analytics prepares you to turn complex data into meaningful insights that support evidence-based decisions and organisational outcomes. The program develops analytical capability alongside the judgement and communication skills needed to translate data into action across diverse professional contexts.
Working across data analysis, programming, predictive modelling, databases and visualisation, you'll learn to source and interpret information, identify patterns and evaluate analytical outputs. You'll also strengthen your ability to communicate complex findings clearly, navigate ethical considerations and use data-driven insights to solve business problems and support organisational change.
Delivered 100% online, the program gives you the flexibility to extend your expertise across areas such as consulting, financial modelling, decision-making, people analytics or marketing analytics. An applied capstone brings these capabilities together, enabling you to connect analytical methods with real-world organisational challenges.
"I never thought I could study again after a long gap and with kids. But the excellent program design, resources, halo from peers and academic staff and flexible, easy to understand study materials has enabled me to finish my masters. I learned many new skills, like programming (Python, R, Tableau), without having a single idea about it before in a very easy and effective way. The discussion forum was an interesting way for remote students to be attached to peers and exchange ideas. The program has added great value to my skills and profile, and opened the door to many opportunities I can choose from."
