Course overview
The Graduate Diploma in Social Impact is designed for professionals looking to expand their knowledge of social impact and strengthen their ability to create positive social and environmental outcomes. Developed for a new generation of leaders, the program builds the professional capacity to lead organisations that create social and environmental value across business, government and the not-for-profit sector.
Throughout the program, you'll explore contemporary approaches to social innovation, sustainability, corporate responsibility and social investment while tailoring your studies by selecting seven industry-relevant electives. The cross-sector curriculum prepares you to collaborate across business, government and community organisations to address complex social challenges and create lasting impact.
Delivered over one year through face-to-face learning with complementary online components, the program combines a compulsory foundation course in social impact with seven industry-relevant electives while supporting collaboration with professionals from diverse sectors. It also provides a pathway to the AGSM MBA (Social Impact), enabling you to further develop your leadership capability through postgraduate study.

What you will study
To earn the Graduate Diploma in Social Impact, you must successfully complete units totalling 48 credit points, as detailed below. Unless otherwise noted, each course is worth 6 credit points.

Entry requirements
Academic requirements
The Graduate Diploma in Social Impact has three categories of entry:
Category A
Applicants require a recognised bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) with a credit average (65 per cent or higher) as determined by the UNSW Postgraduate Coursework Entry Calculator; and at least two years of full-time relevant work experience.
Category B
Professionals without a bachelor's degree can apply to the program if they have at least five years of full-time relevant work experience in government, corporate or not-for-profit sector.
Category C
Students completing the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact (with a minimum overall WAM of 65) are able to articulate into the Graduate Diploma of Social Impact with full course credit given. Applicants must have at least five years of full-time relevant work experience in government, corporate or not-for-profit.
English language requirements
