Course overview

Bringing finance and emerging technology together, the Graduate Diploma in Financial Technology is designed for graduates seeking specialised capability in the rapidly evolving FinTech sector. The program develops an understanding of how technological innovation is changing financial services and provides a practical foundation for responding to new models, products and industry challenges.

From digital payments and lending to decentralised finance, RegTech and InsurTech, you'll examine how technology is transforming the way financial services are designed, delivered and regulated. You'll develop the capability to evaluate emerging FinTech applications, understand their implications for established financial practices and apply technical and commercial thinking to challenges across the sector.

Completed through eight courses over 16 months of part-time, 100% online study, the program combines specialised FinTech learning with elective options across finance, analytics, programming and data. Graduates may also be eligible to progress to the Master of Financial Technology, providing an opportunity to continue developing advanced expertise in the field.

"The best things about the course were how practical and relevant it was to real FinTech trends. The course explained clearly how new technologies like AI, blockchain, and crowdfunding are changing the way businesses and people borrow money. Real examples made the ideas easy to understand. The assignments and discussions encouraged creative thinking and showed how technology can make finance more open, efficient and innovative in the future."
