Graduate Certificate in Operations Analysis
- Delivery: Online
- Study Level: Postgraduate
- Duration: 6 months
- Course Type: Graduate Certificate
Build advanced decision analytics capability through flexible online study, developing the qualitative and quantitative skills to analyse complex operational environments and support effective decision-making.
Course overview
The Graduate Certificate in Operations Analysis at UNSW Canberra is designed for graduates and experienced professionals seeking to strengthen their understanding of decision analytics and its application to complex operational environments.
You’ll explore qualitative and quantitative approaches to decision-making, including data analysis, experimentation and modelling techniques. The program develops the capability to evaluate alternatives, apply appropriate analytical tools and interpret solutions to support decision-making across complex operational contexts.
A flexible structure combines foundation study with prescribed electives spanning areas such as simulation, systems thinking, applied machine learning, project management, reliability and logistics. Through project-based learning, students apply analytical techniques to real-life decision problems and consider how findings can be interpreted for stakeholders.
Delivered online, the qualification can be completed in approximately six months of full-time study, with flexibility for professionals balancing study alongside work commitments. The Graduate Certificate is also recognised as an exit qualification from the Master of Decision Analytics.
