The Master of Cybersecurity is an on-campus postgraduate qualification designed for graduates with a background in information technology, business information systems or related disciplines who want to develop advanced technical expertise and leadership capability in cybersecurity. The course explores contemporary cybersecurity practice while preparing graduates to identify, assess and respond to evolving digital threats.

As you progress through the course, you'll strengthen your ability to evaluate cyber risks, design secure digital environments and develop proactive strategies to protect organisations from emerging threats. The curriculum combines technical expertise with critical thinking, ethical leadership and problem-solving, enabling you to assess vulnerabilities, implement security solutions and communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Delivered on campus, the course includes 192 hours of Work-Integrated Learning, completed through either an internship or an industry live brief, providing opportunities to apply your knowledge in a professional setting. Co-developed with industry-leading ICT practitioners and academics, the curriculum aligns with the Australian Computer Society's Core Body of Knowledge and the Cybersecurity Body of Knowledge. Eligible students receive complimentary ACS and Australian Information Security Association student memberships, and the course is assessed through coursework with no formal examinations.
