What you will study
To earn the Master of Business Administration, you must complete a total of 192 credit points as follows:
- Four core courses (48 credit points)
- One MBA Research core course (12 credit points)
- One Capstone course (12 credit points)
- 120 CP from one of the following possible combinations:
- Combination 1: Complete one MBA major and 24 credit points of university electives.
- Combination 2: Complete two MBA minors and 24 credit points of university electives.
- Combination 3: Complete one MBA minor and 48 credit points of MBA option courses and 24 credit points of university electives.
- Combination 4: Complete 96 CP in MBA option courses and 24 credit points of university electives.
Each course is valued at 12 credit points unless otherwise stated.

- Leadership and Management
- Marketing for Managers
- Financial Analytics for Managerial Decisions
- Strategy

Two-year duration (without advanced standing)
Applicants must have one of the following:
- An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or higher level qualification in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (out of 4.0).
- An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or higher level qualification in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and a GMAT overall minimum score of 550.
1.5-year duration (with advanced standing)
Applicants must have one of the following:
- An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or higher-level qualification in a business or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (out of 4.0).*
- An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or higher level qualification in a business or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and a GMAT overall minimum score of 550.
- An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent), or higher-level qualification, from a recognised tertiary institution in any discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 1.0 (out of 4.0), plus a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
- RMIT Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.
Suppose your qualification was completed more than 10 years ago. In that case, you will need to provide evidence of ongoing professional work and/or professional development in the same discipline as the program for which you are seeking entry to be granted advanced standing.

Recognition of Prior Learning
If you have successfully completed previous studies, with a major in a business or related discipline, or an unrelated discipline with two years relevant work experience, you may be eligible for credit towards your degree in the form of masters advanced standing or recognition of prior learning. Indicative annual fee in 2026: $38,400 (domestic full-fee paying place)
Additional expenses:
- Student services and amenities fee (SSAF): $365 maximum fee for 2026.

The amounts quoted are indicative fees per annum and are based on a standard year of full-time study (96 credit points). A proportionate fee applies for more or less than the full-time study load. Fees are adjusted on an annual basis. These fees should only be used as a guide.
