What you will study

To complete the Master of Business, you must fulfil 16 units (96 credit points). It consists of Part A. Advance Preparatory, 4 units (24 credit points), Part B. Mastery Knowledge, 8 units (48 credit points) and Part C. Application Studies, 4 units (24 credit points).

Complete four units (24 credit points) from the following:

Only one economics unit may be completed in Economics and Managerial Economics.

Complete Business statistics if you are completing the Financial and Risk Management specialisation

  • Accounting for Business (six credit points)

Entry requirements

Entry level 1: 96 points to complete

Duration: Two years full-time, four years part-time

  • An Australian bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification, or an approved pathway and achieved at least a credit (60%) average, or an equivalent GPA.

Entry level 2: 72 points to complete

Duration: 1.5 years full-time, three years part-time

Applicants must have one of the following:

  • An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with at least a credit (60%) average or equivalent qualification and experience approved by the faculty.
  • A four-year Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average or equivalent qualification and experience approved by the faculty.
  • Successful completion of a Monash University Graduate Certificate of Business

Entry level 3: 48 points to complete

Duration: One year full-time, two years part-time

Applicants must have one of the following:

  • An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with at least a credit (60%) average in both qualifications or equivalent qualification and experience approved by the faculty.
  • An Australian bachelor's honours degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with at least a credit (60%) average or equivalent qualification and experience approved by the faculty.

English language requirements

For entry to Monash University, you must meet the minimum English language requirements. You can do this by completing one of the qualifications listed on their website.

If you've completed several measures of English proficiency over a period of time, the highest valid measure will be accepted as long as it's been taken within the required time limitations.

Average 2025 first-year fee: $37,100 (domestic full-fee paying place)

All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a study load of 24 credit points (normally four units) per semester or 48 credit points (normally eight units) per year.

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • The choice of major or specialisation.

  • Credit from previous study or work experience.
