The Master of Commerce is designed to meet employer needs and will extend your business knowledge making you highly employable in a wide range of careers. You can choose to complete one specialisation from broad areas of business and commerce, including accounting, business management and organisations, finance or marketing, to develop depth in your chosen discipline.
The Master of Media and Communications will give you the skills you need to expertly respond to the challenges associated with the changing mediascape in ethical and socially engaged ways. It focuses on digital production, distribution, and audience communication and engagement strategies, as well as on online journalism and media practices. What you will study
To graduate with a Master of Commerce and Master of Marketing, a student must acquire 160 credit points (CP). Each unit is valued at ten credit points.

Academic requirements
Applicants can qualify for entry to both courses by fulfilling one of the admission points below for both single degrees:
Master of Commerce
- An AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent.
- An AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent and two years of relevant, approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning.
Master of Media and Communications
- An AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent with a WAM of 65.
- An AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, and two years of relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning.
- An AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent with a WAM of 65 and two years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning.
Note: Successful admission into the double degree means that you must satisfy the requirements for both of the single degrees.
English language requirements
When applying to study at Macquarie University, you’re required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.

Recognition of Prior Learning
