- Study Level: Postgraduate
- Duration: 24 months
- Course Type: Master's
Shape a versatile business career by combining broad commercial expertise with customer insight, marketing strategy and two specialisations aligned with your professional ambitions.
Course overview
Understanding how businesses operate is most valuable when you can also identify what customers need and translate those insights into effective market strategies. Macquarie University’s Master of Commerce and Master of Marketing combines broad commercial expertise with specialist marketing capability.
You will examine contemporary business issues, analytics, ethics and sustainability alongside consumer behaviour, marketing research and strategic decision-making. A Commerce specialisation allows you to develop expertise in an area such as finance, business analytics, artificial intelligence, human resources or supply chain management, while a Marketing specialisation in Advertising and Branding, Digital Marketing or Strategic Marketing strengthens your ability to engage customers and create market value.
Delivered in person at Macquarie University’s North Ryde campus, the Double Degree can be completed in two years of full-time study or the equivalent part-time. You will graduate with two separate qualifications, while the Marketing component is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute and provides a fast-track pathway towards Certified Practising Marketer status, subject to the institute’s requirements.
