With ECU's Accelerated Online Master of Project Management, you'll gain advanced knowledge of project management principles and practice across commercial, government and not-for-profit sectors. You’ll also develop in-demand skills to build leadership capability, promote ethical stakeholder engagement, solve complex problems and create organisational value. Entry requirements

Academic requirements

To gain entry to the Master of Project Management (Accelerated), applicants must have one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Equivalent prior learning, including at least five years of relevant professional experience.​

Alternatively, applicants may apply with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Project Management.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Eligible students can fast-track their Master of Project Management and complete their degree in nine units by applying for recognition of prior learning. To gain entry to the fast-tracked master’s degree, applicants must have one of the following:

  • Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management, engineering or information technology, or have completed a major in project management.*
  • Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent, with at least two years of professional project management experience.

Holds a current professional accreditation in project management to meet one of the following:

  • Be a registered project manager (RegPM) with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) at CPPP level or above.
  • Be a current active (not retired) Project Management Institute (PMI) certificate holder at either PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA or PMI-RMP level.
  • Be a registered Chartered Project Professional with the Association for Project Management (APM) at any level.

To gain entry to the fast-track master's, students must apply after they accept the offer for the 12-unit master's. Applications for the fast-tracked master's degree are subject to ECU’s assessment.

  • A bachelor's degree must be completed within the last 10 years.

The cost for all 12 units in 2025: $60,840 (domestic full-fee paying place)

The cost for nine units in 2025: $45,630 (domestic full-fee paying place)

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • The choice of major or specialisation.
  • Choice of units.
  • Credit from previous study or work experience.
  • Eligibility for government-funded loans.
