Course overview
Understand what drives people at work with ECU’s Graduate Certificate of Business Psychology. Combining psychological science with business study, this course explores the relationship between employee wellbeing, workplace behaviour and organisational effectiveness. It offers a focused way to bring a psychological perspective to people-related responsibilities and business challenges.
Examine workplace culture, mental health and work stressors through the core unit, Healthy Work and Wellbeing. Shape your learning through two psychology electives, exploring areas such as social interaction, information processing, wellbeing or the biological foundations of behaviour. Your business elective connects this knowledge with talent management, employee performance or analytical approaches to HR.
The four-unit course is delivered entirely online through an accelerated, part-time model. Study one unit at a time in seven-week blocks, with access to learning resources, academic support and a dedicated Student Success Advisor. You can complete the qualification in as little as eight months.
The graduate certificate also provides a pathway to ECU’s Master of Business Psychology. Continue with six additional units to explore the discipline more extensively, subject to ECU’s progression requirements. This gives you the option to complete a standalone postgraduate award or extend your studies as your professional interests take shape.
