What you will study

To complete the Master of Business Administration (International), students must attain a total of 16 credit points, consisting of 10 credit points of core units, two credit points of course electives and four credit points of open elective units (which may include an optional specialisation).

You must complete the compulsory Academic Integrity Module in your first trimester of study (zero credit point unit).

Entry requirements

Selection is based on a holistic consideration of your academic merit, work experience, likelihood of success, availability of places, participation requirements, regulatory requirements and individual circumstances. You must meet the minimum academic and English language proficiency requirements to be considered for selection, but this does not guarantee admission.

Depending on your professional experience and previous qualifications, you may commence this course with admission credit and complete your course in one year full-time (or part-time equivalent).

Academic requirements

One year full-time (or part-time equivalent) - eight credit points

To be considered for admission to this degree (with eight credit points of admission credit applied^*), you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree (honours) (AQF 8) in a related discipline, with a minimum weighted average mark of 65.
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in a related discipline with a minimum weighted average mark of 65 and at least 2 years of relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent).
  • Completing a graduate certificate, diploma, or higher in a related discipline.

1.5 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) - 12 credit points

To be considered for admission to this degree (with four credit points of admission credit applied^*), you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline, with a minimum weighted average mark of 65.
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline with a minimum weighted average mark of 65 and at least 2 years of relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent).

Two years full-time (or part-time equivalent) - 16 credit points

To be considered for admission to this degree (without admission credit applied*), you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) (or equivalent average grade indicator) of 65.

^Related discipline degree: A 'related discipline' award for this course is a bachelor's degree in commerce or business in which students have completed studies explicitly in areas covering finance, people, market and economics.

^ Relevant work experience: Relevant work experience is determined as business experience in either a broad commerce role or a managerial position with business oversight responsibilities in any field.

*Credit for Recognition of Prior Learning will still be considered case-by-case.

English language requirements

To meet the English language proficiency requirements of this course, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised English-speaking country.
  • IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent.
  • Other evidence of English language proficiency (contact the university for more information).
