Deakin University’s Graduate Certificate of Artificial Intelligence for Business develops the capabilities to introduce artificial intelligence into organisational decision-making. Designed for professionals from different business backgrounds, the course examines how organisations can evaluate, adopt and manage existing AI technologies.

Through campus-based study at Burwood, you will explore responsible artificial intelligence, machine learning and the strategic use of AI across enterprise environments. By connecting technical understanding with business application, you will learn to assess organisational needs, compare alternative solutions and communicate complex technological considerations to non-specialist audiences.

Completed over one year of part-time study, the course can support opportunities involving AI analysis, solutions and consulting across accounting, finance, marketing, people management and supply chain management. It can also provide a pathway to eligible Deakin Business School coursework master’s degrees.

Commonwealth Supported Places

The Australian Government allocates a certain number of CSPs to the universities each year, which are then distributed to students based on merit.

If you're a Commonwealth Supported Student (CSS), you'll only need to pay a portion of your tuition fees. This is known as the student contribution amount – the balance once the government subsidy is applied. This means your costs are much lower.

Limited CSP spaces are offered to students enrolled in selected postgraduate courses.
