Course overview
This course develops your passion for the field and inspires your vision of creating a safer and healthier workplace for workers and the community. Our graduates are creative, innovative, confident and progressive individuals capable of and committed to upholding the standards and ethical values of the profession. In this course, you will develop strong theoretical and practical OHS skills, discover new knowledge and discover novel ways of solving problems. In your final semester, you will complete an original research project under the guidance of one of our experienced staff members. Once you have completed specific units, you can exit this course with a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Entry requirements
A bachelor's degree with a health, science or management-related background and 18 months of subsequent work experience in occupational health and safety, or a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Fees and FEE-HELP
Indicative 2025 first-year fee: $26,538 (domestic full-fee paying place).
All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a study load of 100 credit points (normally four units) per semester or 200 credit points (normally eight units) per year.
A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:
- The number of units studied per term.
- The choice of major or specialisation.
- Choice of units.
- Credit from previous study or work experience.
- Eligibility for government-funded loans.
