Course overview

The BBT Global Leadership MBA specialises in the interaction between Asian economies, specifically Japan and the rest of the world and can be taken entirely in English or a combination of English and some Japanese subjects. An MBA qualification is designed for those wanting to move into management in their existing careers.

In your studies, you will immerse yourself in the core frameworks for business decision-making based on entrepreneurship, innovation and evidence-based strategy formulation.

You will learn skills in effective negotiation, business-level language, team management, problem solving, entrepreneurship and improving team performance.

What you will study

Students must complete 120 credit points (CP)  to graduate from this course. 

Core subjects

Students must complete the following 60 credit points of subjects.

  • Business Planning for Entrepreneurial Ventures Part A (five credit points)
  • Business Planning for Entrepreneurial Ventures Part B (five credit points)
  • Accounting for Decision Making (10 credit points)
  • Data Analytics for Decision Making (10 credit points)
  • Economics for Managers (10 credit points)
  • Global Business Leadership (10 credit points)
  • Managerial Finance (10 credit points)

You must choose to complete one of the language pathway options worth 60 credit points.

Entry requirements

To be considered for admission to this degree, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Successful Completing a recognised bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in any field with a minimum GPA requirement of 1 (on a 4-point scale where 1 = pass). Minimum three years of business experience.

You must submit a Career Objectives and Goals essay as part of the entry requirements for this program.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you have completed previous tertiary studies, you may be able to gain credit for previous subjects. To apply, you will need to submit your academic transcripts to the Office of Future Students, including detailed subject outlines or course descriptions for each relevant subject.
